Coach Coleman grew up in Davidson, Oklahoma where he played baseball and basketball. After graduating he was drafted by the Giants and Indians but signed a baseball scholarship with NCTC in Gainesville. Following a one-year stint at NCTC he transferred to Seminole State College where he helped his team to a 56-5 record and a JUCO World Series Runner-Up Finish. He went on to play at the University of Arkansas Little Rock and the University of Central Oklahoma after Seminole. He finished his playing career in the Frontier League with the River City Rascals.
Coach Coleman enters his sixteenth year of coaching; thirteenth as a head softball coach. Coach Coleman comes to Lake Travis HS after making previous stops at Randall HS and Celina HS. At Randall HS he led the softball team to the regional semi-finals, which was a first for the softball program. While at Celina he helped build one of the top softball programs in the state and led the softball team to three state tournament appearances: 2006 State Semi-Finalists, 2009 State Runner-Ups and 2011 State Champions. In twelve years of coaching softball Coach Coleman has amassed 316 wins and 127 losses. Coach Coleman and Natalie have three wonderful children Savannah 22, Caelen 20, and Emma 14 who plays on the JV team. Coach Coleman is truly blessed to be a part of Lake Travis High School and he can’t wait to see what this year’s team accomplishes.
